Changing Major?

<p>I am currently accepted as a Journalism major in the College of Media at UIUC. I'm not sure that I will stick with this major and am thinking of possibly changing my major to either Advertising in the College of Media, or Information Systems and Information Technology in the College of Business.</p>

<p>How difficult would it be to change my major to either one of these if I enter as a freshman at UIUC?</p>

<p>I appreciate the help as this may be the deciding factor between going to UIUC or going to Penn State.</p>

<p>Technically you don’t have a major yet (that gets officially declared later), you just have admission to a particular college. Switching majors within your college is zero problem; to switch between colleges, you will probably have to meet certain minimum GPA requirements after your first or second semester.</p>
