Changing majors after transfer...

<p>Hello there,</p>

<p>I am equally interested in Physics and Mechanical Engineering.
Also, they pretty much have the same prereq's for transfer except for a few
changes here and there. However I think I have a better chance of getting
into Physics because its less competitive. Would I be able to </p>

<p>1.) get accepted and then switch from physics to mech. eng.?</p>

<p>or 2.) get accepted and then add mech. eng. for a double major? </p>

<p>also is this different from school to school?</p>

<p>Check with the school. i know at NYU, you cant transfer to CAS then internal transfer to stern, they know people are sneaky, so they disallow it in the competitive majors.</p>
