Is it possible to switch majors after transferring, especially if they're in the same general field? I'm looking at UCI, UCSD, and UCLA. I'm not entirely sure what I'm planning on majoring in yet but it'll be somewhere in the science department.

Well… yes, no, and maybe.

In short, you can change your program however you want - but it might result in you delaying your graduation. It will really depend on which classes you have taken so far and what will transfer between institutions. Every college I have worked for has had a cap on the number of credits they will accept from a transfer. So, if you are a Junior then you will have a harder time with this than if you are a freshman.

The best thing that you could do is meet with an admissions counselor at the school you are looking to attend. Give them a copy of your transcript and discuss the situation with them. They may not be able to offer you an official transcript evaluation until you have applied, but they will be able to give you an educated guesstimate.

I agree with atomicgrape, it depends on what pre-reqs u have done, and whether or not the deptarment is impacted.
