Changing majors from advertising to marketing after transfer..?

After going through an odd quarter life crisis I decided to very dramatically change my major from Biology to Marketing.(Granted this was a huge decision, coming from the son of two doctors who practically forced me to follow their lead) All of this however is happening way too fast leaving me with so little time to catch up with prerequisites. Given the amount of time I have to complete these courses it would be much easier to transfer as an Advertising major. Seeing as Advertising in terms is technically a part of Marketing, what are the chances I can transfer with an advertising major to then change it to marketing?

I know it still plays me out to be really crappy but I seem to have no other option other than falling two semesters behind.

As far as I remember transfer students are not allowed to change their major.

If you really would like to try and see if there is a tiny chance (if Im not wrong) you should write the marketing advisor.

It is true that transfer students must stay with the major they were accepted to and can not change after admission. That said, there are a few tiny exceptions to that. For example, my major is agricultural education and communications. I am on the education track. It would be possible for me to switch to communications (or would have been, I’m way too close to done to do that now) if I filled out the right paper work and met the right conditions for it to be approved. BUT that is technically not changing majors…just specialties.
