Okay, I applied to the MCS, CIT and HSS. What if I suddenly decided I wanted to major in say, computer science? Or (as is actually the case) that I want to do work for a minor in business? I didn't even apply to the SCS or Tepper. What would I have to do if I wanted to switch? I don't mean today or at the start of the schoolyear, I mean at whatever point you have to declare your major. Just wondering.

You would have to go talk to someone in the department you were interested in transferring into. They would give you a transfer application which would require you to submit a transcript if nothing else. I would do this as soon as possible if you're sure you want to switch. You could also just double major in that subject and remain in your home college.

Getting a minor in something isn't administratively difficult. Again, you would just need to fill out some kind of form in the minor's department. You can start taking classes for a minor whenever you want to.

Okay thanks! I was just confused because the admission letter wanted me to choose between colleges immediately.

Ohhh, you actually do need to select one of the colleges when you enroll. You don't have to choose a major right away, but you must enroll in a single college (except in some special programs, such as BHA, BSA, and SHS). You can transfer into or double major in a college that you didn't apply to and/or didn't get accepted to after you enroll. Sorry for the additional confusion...
