Changing Planned Courses

I am transferring for fall 2010. When I completed the application, I put 3 classes for spring 2010; a total of 12 units. I only need one class to transfer, but I chose the other two for interest.
Now, I am second guessing my decision. I am not sure if I want to take foreign language level 2 (optional) class because: A) Don't think it will fit my "desired" schedule B) It is a 5 unit class (which means a lot of work) C) Figured I might want to take it easy and work more (extra $), read more leisurely, and just enjoy my last semester.

Here are my concerns:
1. Will this look bad?
2. Will it affect my admission?
3. Is it best to not change it?
4. If I take easy classes (but I like) instead, will this look bad?

I need to be full time (because of FAFSA).

Also, if I can change, will taking classical mechanics be better for me compared to a foreign language course? My major is economics or economics/mathematics.

Thanks

on the january update, u put w/e ur schedule is. it does NOT look bad AT ALL, they dont even consider what put for your app in novemeber, its just on there to make sure u take all the classes required for GE. You can change all you like, there is no problem, as long as you complete ur GE reqs (and for berk/la ur pre-reqs). UCs dont really know which classes are “easy” cuz that depends on the teacher, and they dont know who ur teacher is (im pretty sure they know Weight training is easier than Physics, but in general they dont).

It doesnt matter which of those two class u take, take the one that interests you more.

Awesome. Thanks for the reply. This is something that has been on my mind for a while. I’m still going to think about it before I make a decision.

Thanks again!

FYI, I put in A LOT more effort into weight training than I did in intro to physics, could’ve gotten by with only going to class on test days whereas weight lifting required MUCH more time and even a little preparation.
