Hi, I have a questions regarding majors and colleges at UCLA.

So firstly, I was admitted into UCLA's college of Letters and Science as a Pre-business major. However, from the time I submitted my application to the time I was accepted, I developed an interest in architecture. Unfortunately, the architecture major falls in a different college altogether. So my question is, is it possible for me to switch schools (L&S to arts and architecture) and majors (pre-bus to architecture)? If so, what necessary steps must I take, and by when?

of course you can switch majors. but whats goin to happen, is that some majors (especially those in another college) require another application, but not the same as the one for UCLA. there are certain prerequisite classes that you'd have to take before ur admitted into the college. not to worry, because as a freshman (r u a freshman?) ur usually just fulfilling ur general education courses and trying to maintain a competitive GPA to be admitted to the major.

but since im not an architecture major, i dont know everything. my advice: go to the department of architecture and meet with a counselor. he/she will tell u exactly what u need to do. at this point, u most likely dont need to do anything until the next school year.

hope that helps! :)
