I started community college again this past fall and got a 3.885 GPA for the semester (13 credits 4 A’s 1 B+). This is after a 3 year break from basically flunking out of 3 different schools (1.8 GPA at a uni, 0.0 at a CC and a 0.67 at a different CC). I plan on keeping my grades up this time around but I know my cumulative GPA will be horrible no matter how high my GPA is at the CC I’m going to now. I’m looking to transfer to Temple or Drexel when I graduate with my associates in spring 2020. What are my chances of getting into either of those schools? Are there any schools that would accept me? I’m an information science major and I plan to transfer to CompSci btw.
This is a good discussion to have with the Transfer Advisor at your CC. You need to find places that have a solid track record of admitting students in your major who have drastically improved their academics after a rough start. If either Temple or Drexel has aformal articulation agreement with your CC for admission into the major you want, that Would probably be the best route to pursue.
