I heard that the M.F.A. (film production, film and tv producing, screenwriting, etc.) is very selective and hard to get into and was just wondering how competitive the M.A. film studies program is, in comparison to all the other film MFA programs?
I am more interested in pursuing the M.A. than the MFA. I am also looking to apply to the UCLA film M.A. program. Which one do you think is better and what kind of stats/GPA are they looking for? I'm trying really hard to improve my GPA- I haven't been doing so well in my undergraduate studies.

Are you a current Chapman student or from another school? You can locate some of these answers through the Dodge link for Graduate and go to the left side bar for Admission FAQ. There, you will find answers to increase your chance of being accepted and the number of students they take, etc.

In case you haven’t heard, Chapman has their own production company, “Chapman Entertainment”. I can’t imagine going to another school for connections. I say Chapman is tops and therefore will be competitive to get in regardless of majors. Best of luck in pulling your grade up.
