I’m from Cameron ESC 1 but I mailed the letter super late :(

Did all of you that got award send your letters by express mail on the first day?

And how much did you guys get?

@cuicuita I’m from Hidalgo. The first person who got it was from Fort Worth they get there mail first before us. You had to send the letter in the first day to have the best chance of getting it.

Just received my letter for the full amount good luck everyone.

I’m from south Texas with EFC 3307 got $2950. I sent mine the first day express mail, but it did not get there on the scheduled time, was a day later and still got it. Good luck to everyone else…this is my 2nd year to get it

Congrats to everyone who got it! I sent it the second day through regular mail so I don’t really have my hopes up. First year applying though, I’ll make sure to take your advice next year guys!
Do anyone know if there’s a way to check? Maybe a list they post?

@EVD123 Where county are you from? I’m from Hidalgo County and haven’t received anything I mailed the application the first day through regular mail.

@chouter21 I’m from Jackson county. I’ve mailed mine express the past 2 times with success. There is still hope though, good luck!!

@TrillianDent, there is no list that is posted.

Has anyone from the Cameron County received their notification letter yet?

anyone from dallas county receive it yet? i sent mines first day express through my school post office.

@chouter21 I’m from Hidalgo County I already received my letter you can’t do regular mail. It must be express, UPS or FedEx-- it cost but you have send it first day or second day delivery to have a chance.

I wouldn’t lose hope if you sent in the application by regular mail. I remember several people last year didn’t use Express and still received an award. And remember, some parts of Texas this year had so few applicants that they even extended the deadline for submission in order to scrape together enough eligible candidates.

I do believe sending it Express Mail dramatically improves your chances, though.

Has anyone else received their award yet? I’m studying abroad right now so I won’t be able to check my mail until August 10!

My students all applied the first day and I drove them to the main post office that morning. We haven’t heard anything yet- we are Dallas, ESC 10.
