<p>How long is your "letter if continued interest in attending UT Austin"?
I don't know what to write about....</p>

<p>PS: Hypothetically, do you have to deposit before you are considered? I don't want to take this scholarship from someone if I somehow manage to get it and get accepted into my #1 choice school :[</p>

<p>I got my mail a week ago.
The deadline to submit the semifinalist papers is due feb 9.</p>

<p>The deposit is completely refundable until May 1st, if you're worried.</p>

<p>I got it in the mail like a week ago. It reads "...you are one of approximately 300 applicants still under consideration..." so I'm assuming they've narrowed it down already without any basis on FAFSA information?</p>

<p>I... didn't realize this was partially contingent on financial need, so I think I would've been axed in a later round anyway. :P</p>

See, the only thing that concerns me is that the website says that one of the criteria is that students selected must have been accepted to attend the university (obviously...that makes perfect sense). But, I'm not top 10% so I still haven't heard back from UT -whether or not I'm accepted - and therefore I feel as if it won't be likely that I'll actually receive the scholarship. Kinda sucks but whatever</p>

<p>i'm sure if your stats are good enough to receive the scholarship, you'll be good enough to get accepted...</p>

<p>unless financial need is a HUGE factor for the scholarship...</p>

Turned FASFA in yesterday</p>
