Looking for some input from some knowledgeable engineers since my advisor isn't helping me out much on this. I have room in my schedule for a minor and an emphasis area, if not two, since I came into the ChE program with a huge amount of transfer credits that fulfilled all of my general / liberal education requirements. I'm interested in business as well as engineering, but I don't want to switch to a business degree at this point. My question is whether it makes sense to focus on business with a chemical engineering degree, or if it would put me behind kids who had an applied engineering, science, or math emphasis.

My options are either
(1) a minor in business administration accompanied with an emphasis in either (renewable) energy or polymers
(2) an emphasis in business and energy or polymers and a human resources or other management minor

I need to make a decision this year since some of my options have prerequisites that I would need to take next fall. Also, while I know these are a lot of classes to take, this is the only way (other than paying $$$$ to take BS classes) for me to stay full time and keep my scholarships.

Any input would be appreciated.
