What is a good place to get like cheap, good quality furniture? I mean like as cheap as possible, like clearance or defected or wahtever, just as long as its NOT A BEANBAG or anything that resembles a beanbag. I need like a chair to watch Survivor lol cuz i have to sit on the carpet.

Try IKEA....

craigslist->free

hmm.im interested about that too...i need a good, cheap futon for my room

garage sales and auctions

hit up ikea or freecycle.com

amazon (dot) com sells chairs i believe.
ebay.
ikea

look on campus bulletin boards for kids selling stuff when they move/graduate.

i've heard mixed rebviews about ikea....some have said their stuff is good quality for the money, while others have said that their stuff is not made well at all and not worth it.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you buy from Ikea, you have to assemble your own stuff....or you could pay extra for a third party to assemble and deliver your stuff...you'd have to check with your local ikea about that. Back when I was looking for furniture, it was getting pretty pricey adding up all the costs. Thankfully I ended up finding a furnished apartment :-)

thats true about ikea. i mean, my parents wanted to buy me new furniture for my room in their house, so we visited ikea. some of their stuff is flimsy and not good quality. however, some of their stuff is cheap and fairly good quality. i would say they focus more on being chic and stylish than on having the most durable furniture, which may suit you fine. but for the normal college student, durable is probably a must. seriously, go for used, either from graduating students on those boards or on the internet.
