umm for guys that would mean going home every 3 weeks (well at least for me). while were on the subject of cheap stuff, are there any outlets or cheap clothing stores around ucla (nordstroms rack, ross, etc)? and what do you guys think of shopping online for clothes?

yeah...i don't plan on going home every three weeks....i can't even if i wanted to

yea I don't want to go home every 3-4 weeks....I guess I will trust campus cuts

here's what campus cuts says:

Salon services are available to UCLA students, staff, faculty and campus visitors at the Campus Cuts rate of $10 per haircut and are performed by professional stylists trained in the most up-to-date cutting techniques.

meh...

Lol. It doesn't take much to be certified as a "professional stylist" though. Just a hundred or so hours through community college will do it. But it'll be fun and if it really does suck then you can come back and warn everyone. It'll be like an experiment!

You guys get ur hair cuts once every three weeks? I usually get it every 6 weeks or so. I used to get more often when i had a girlfriend. Now, i don't really care too much since I am not even looking for one.

I usually get it 3.5-4 weeks....I think that's the norm

yeah. hopefully i can find a friend who knows how to cut hair so he or she could do it for me.

I thought I saw a sign while walking on Bruin Walk that said Hair Cuts for $7.

Try checking for beauty schools in the area. Student work is cheap. Sometimes the better salons have days where they "interview" applicants by having them do hair. The work is free or reduced.

But the op won't have access to a car and I don't think he'd want to take a bus for a haircut.

Westwood or campus cuts is really his only option.

Campus cuts in Ackerman is the worst haircutting place on the west coast

It was probably the only haircutting place I've ever been to where they admit they've done a crappy job but blame you because of the shape of the back of your head. I've never heard a positive story coming from there. I have very simple and easy to maintain hair, but when I went there once (for the first and last time) they somehow managed to screw it up.

You're much better finding one in westwood, although I personally just wait to cut my hair at Thanksgiving, spring break, etc.

I have long hair, about three inches below my shoulders. As far as haircut's concerned I went three years without a hair cut, but now I'd go every 6/7 months.

I had one yesterday and January before that.

Like Allie I overspend so I can get the hairstyle THAT I WANT.

Unlike Allie, I am male.

my friends sister spends around 300 every 6 months on her hair. geez

300 is too much.

I spend around 175 (tip included) every 4-5 months or whenever i can afford it. And THAT's still way too much. So I dunno. Obscene.

i spend 10 bucks a month. actually...including gel....maybe 15?

wow allie....i sympathize for my sisters now

now I can see the advantage in dating bald chicks

BC bald chicks are super hot.

hahahahha :)

I keep my hair longer then most, so I get in cut around 4 times a year. and I'm male.
but MAN I hate bad haircuts. barbers should be punished for messing up my hair! legal penalty!
also 175 for a haircut is indeed obscene. but you gotta do what you gotta do, I suppose :(
