cheapest place to purchase books?

hi i was wondering if any of you knew where was the cheapest place to purchase these books?

ISBN 0-538-77966-7

ISBN 0-495-01327-7

Have you tried purchasing the international version? it’s cheaper but softback instead of hardback

^^ where can i get this from?

Amazon has them.

ok also if anyone here goes to cleveland state, are these books even used in chm 261?

I don’t know but I bet the website for their bookstore would have that information.

Have you tried Half.com?

chegg.com - it has one of your books for rent for 20 bucks

I get most of my books via cheapesttextbooks.com it’s a search engine just for books.

FWIW aGGieENGiNeeR, Amazon has that same book for only like $29, so it isn’t like it is a huge difference. That was the hardback version too, I didn’t check the paperback.

ok, good to know

I used to check all over God’s green earth for cheap textbooks… then I just gave up and stuck with Amazon simply because it is convenient, easy to navigate, has literally everything at one stop, I get free 2-day shipping, and they are almost always very competitive with their prices.

I just heard about this company from a friend who happens to be at A&M. However, since the prices are comparable, I would much rather go with the more reputable company.

I took this class last semester and will be taking it again (had to drop due to work) and yes you will use this extensively. However, you will only use up to chapter 12, the chapter 13-end of book is for chm262 (or the next one)

what I did was go to ichapters.com and purchased each chapter when we got to it. it was 7.99 each chapter, so the entire set that we used i was able to get in pdf format and print out (and give to a friend too) cost me about 80 bucks.

Try torrenting your books first and then getting the international version

i use DealOz.com. it compares book prices between several online vendors.

bill1228 just courious if you did your schedule yet, when are you taking it?

I’m not sure if anyone will see this, but I’m taking this course over the fall and I’m wondering if this book: [Chemistry Principles and Practice - Reger](http://www.scribd.com/doc/55052137/Chemistry-Principles-and-Practice-Reger) is the one required for Chem 261. Also, is this book adequate for the entire course, or is the custom pack sold on CSU’s website required? I’m asking because the laboratory section of the class has no textbooks listed.
