Have you ever seen anyone cheat on the SAT? Or had a feeling someone was copying your answers?

Well was my first time taking the SAT, I sat in the very front and from the corner of me eye it looked the girl whos desk was diangonaly behind mine WAS LOOKING AT MY TEST BOOKLET!.......eh what a looser.

there’re about 4 different tests, the person sitting next (or in this case, diagonally) to you may have had the same test as you,but most likely didn’t

I don’t believe that cheating is really possible in SATs … everyone has a different booklet anyways so the ppl who are looking around are just wandering where other ppl are or … copying … (then they are doomed >:) )

I tend to look around though not for the purpose of cheating (I don’t even notice I’m doing it), I am just curious at where everyone else is in their test.

In December, the girl in front of me had a whole packet of math information. She would take it out between sections, so not sure if that’s cheating but…

The College Board takes cheating very seriously. The proctors create a seating chart and the scan-tron machine compares your score to the scores of students around you. If too many similar patterns are found between two test takers, the College Board will withhold the scores of both parties while they go through the tests by hand. If they believe that one or both of you cheated, they will cancel your scores and allow you to take the test again for free. This may seem extreme or unfair, especially to the person whose answers were copied, but its the only way to ensure that cheaters do not receive credit for copied work.
