Cheating on the SATS

Hello, I was taking to my friend yesterday after the SATS and he told me that he cheated on the SATS. He told me that the kid sitting next to him was really smart and he copied that kids answers and he did so by making sure that the sections were the same ones but now my friend is paranoid about it and he wants to tell college board. Will he get caught?

If he didn’t get caught by the proctor is very slight that he would get caught. I hope TCB punish him for being a cheater if they find anomalies on his test or if TCB see an increase from the last test that he took. He took the hard work of another person. Cheaters are always cheaters.

@Jr12317 he told me he wants to own up to his mistake but he is really scared. And this was his first time taking the test. What kind of anomalies would the college board be able to find? and he told ne proctor didnt say anything during te duration of the test but he is paranoid and the proctor wrote it down and is going o report it?

Well, if the proctor saw him then yeah he won’t get his scores and probably ban to take the SAT again. They can review his test with the person next to him, the way he circle the bubble, and more. They know how to deal with that types of cheaters.

@Jr12317 What if the sections were completely different tho? What he told me was that his section 3 math was the same as the other persons section 6 math? Would the collegeboard look at that of just look at his section 3 and the other kids section 3?

They will review everything. As I said, they know how to deal with cheaters. They also can look the experimental section of both…

@Jr12317 He told me that he put different answers for the experimental one.

Well if he get wrongs a lot of questions there, then yeah they will probably look at that. But only if the proctor caught him. If not, then sadly he will get away.

@Jr12317 i am going to attempt to convince him to cancel his scores and take it again without cheating.

Glad you will make that decision. I see that there are still honest people. I hope he listens to you.
