Check decision

It would be too dreadful to call :( I got defered for ED. I'll kill myself if I got waitlisted. Please, just take me in or kick my a**.

I can't possibly call for my decision in cold blood  I'd faint the minute someone picked up the phone on the other end

hahaha, same here :D

Come on guys! Its not that bad... it probably sounds scarier than it actually is - and at least you'll know instantly, so there's no waiting for days wondering whether others from your region have been notified yet or why your notification hasn't arrived yet. Be brave!!!

naaaah I'm a procrastinator. I don't like instant notification

Yes I'm a coward. SO WHAT???

Haha, that's very brave of you, actually! :p

I totally agree with you, i remember that i was thinking about calling to find out my decision, and it was a tormenting prospect... I got so lost on the phone even when i called to check if my file was complete... The lady told me to fax a score report and to address it to "Kathy"... and i asked her to spell that... lame... :o

Haha I remember... quite a few students used "Kathy", some even used Kath...

I'm sure it didn't matter at all, but i was so terrified and thought that such a mistake could bring upon my insignificant soul the whole anger of the god-like admission officers, that i searched the Princeton site for names looking like "Kathy"... and after quite some time, i found "Kathleen Varra", and i faxed the score report with my heart at ease, knowing i could in no way displease the gods.... amen... :D

Pton is more student friendly

[/quote]

I dont think so

Um, I disagree, shashank. They are quite student friendly (at least over email!).

Its funny that the phone decision was brought up...they had an article in the Orlando Sentinel about it...one admin said that when they have to give the applicant bad news they try to keep it short. I dont know if they hang up on you if youre deferred like a Dartmouth. And they also nicknamed the online rejections "e-jection"..lol

princeton admissions office is not friendly.. and they bs too often.

Yeah, there's no way I'm calling. I will gladly suffer a few days longer rather than go through that agony. I get nervous making "official" phone calls anyway...

they were quite friendly when I called about my SAT II scores - hey I talked to Kathy too :)

oh every intl talks to dear kathy some time or the other :p

as pavalon says, the mother of all intl applicants. haha.

Absolutely true Astrix.

Kathy managed to sniff out my entire application which mysteriously got delivered to somebody whose not a Princeton employee  .How she did that,I have no clue

ouch! how did that end up happening? (getting delivered to someone not affiliated w/ pton that is)

no idea pegdiver.I henceforth anoint "Dear Kathy" as the superwoman of Princeton
