Heather, Northwestern is further West than Michigan.

chicago is very easy to get to from nyc…1 hr plane ride

UMich is 25 miles from Detroit’s airport. Not a significant difference from Northwestern to either of Chicago’s airports.

Actually, UMich is more accessible to NYC than Northwestern. The flight is shorter (by about 30 minutes) and the drive from the airport is more direct and rapid.

Well I could always throw in an application to UMich, but I like my list as it is. Does it seem as if I’m aiming a bit too high?

I think you current list is good as it is. You do not have to add any other university. Maryland is a pretty safe bet, Rochester and BC are relatively safe as well. I was merely suggesting an option you had not considered.

Great, thanks…I figure its better to apply to more schools than less, so I’ll have a lot of options when decision time comes. That is, if I don’t get into my ED school

List looks good to me. I think you have a good chance at getting into at least 1 or 2 of your reaches, probably more. Either way, I’m pretty sure you’ll get into some of the ones on your list. Good luck!

Thanks…I’d be really happy to get into any one of my reaches!

any final thoughts?

anyone else?

Maybe you could be a legacy since your parents have Ivy League degrees?
