<p>I applied RD to Carleton College on December 31st 2009. The deadline was January 15th 2010.
Three weeks have passed and I've heard nothing from them :/ Other colleges I applied to have emailed me usernames and passwords to let me check on the status of my application. </p>
<p>Am I supposed to recieve some type of reponse confirming what parts of my application Carleton has/hasn't recieved? If so, when? Do I need to call the Admissions Office?</p>

<p>I would go ahead and call - it can take awhile for them to get all the stuff that comes in uploaded. However, the admissions staff (like all the Carleton staff) are friendly and will let you know your application status and how to get online.

<p>I actually got the letter confirming my application and containing my username and password in the mail about January 15th… but I live about 50 miles from Carleton and I applied on December 15. I’m sure your letter is in the mail too, you’ll be getting it soon.</p>
<p>I sent the pre-app, so I had my password a long time ago, but I do recall that it took several weeks to get it. I think yours should be coming soon.</p>
<p>I got it in the mail about a month after submitting my application (I submitted it early December, and got it over Christmas break). I live on the East Coast, so maybe it took awhile?</p>
<p>They also make a few mistakes, since I’m sure they’re swamped. For example, my letter said I wouldn’t be applying for financial aid, although the admissions office confirmed that my application definitely indicated a need for aid. They’re friendly; they’re probably just dealing with a lot of apps that came in around the same time.</p>
