Im in 9th grade, and Im home schooled. I have been to public school on and off until 8th grade when I left for good. I have always wanted to be a cheerleader, but it never really panned out. So I was thinking about college cheerleading... Even though I can't say I was a cheerleader in high school, I can still cheer at the local gymnasium. I know they have cheer classes, competitions, teams.... I could put even more time into it than anyone in high school, because I have way more time to practice (I take online classes). So my question is if I am dedicated, work hard, do competitions, and get really good at it , I have as good of a chance as any other high school cheerleader. Right?? If anybody could give me any advice, info, or anything really I would be so thankful! I don't know much about this topic so any info is appreciated. Thank You!

I would have guessed (being TOTALLY uninformed) that there would be tryouts, and you make it or don’t based on your tryouts, and that previous experience would be worth little except for the skill it brings to your tryouts.

Oh, and don’t grow to be 6’2", probably. :)
