Chem 14A/Math 3B textbooks

I can't find the textbooks on amazon for Chem 14A with Lavelle and Math 3B with Oberlin. Anyone know what they are?

Chem 14A: Atkins
Pkg: Chem Princ (4th) W/ Sb;sm;mod Kit; Std Survey

Math 3B: Calculus F/ Biol & Med (2nd) (Looseleaf Ed) -- PEARSON
Loose Leaf, 2, 09 -- Required

Neuhauser
Calculus F/ Biol & Med (2nd) Pkg W/rev Ssm -- Optional

Neuhauser
Sm Calculus F/ Biol & Medicine (2nd) Rev -- Optional

the chem one is called “chemical principles: the quest for insight” and has liquid drops on the cover.

Thank you, zzzboy! Anyone have the name for the Math 3B book?

Just search for Calculus Neuhauser on amazon

Should be the first link.

What is the "Std Survey ". How do I purchase that separately. It is part of that Chem 14A bundle listed…

Another question about the packet, what does “sb” stand for … ?

What does all of “Sb;sm;mod Kit; Std Survey” stand for? And for the optional calculus book, what does “Pkg W/rev Ssm” stand for?

pretty sure sm stands for solutions manual and mod kit is the model kit

Pkg W/rev Ssm is package with revised student solutions manual

So anyone know what “sb” stands for and where to buy Std Survey for chem?

The last optional calculus book is the actual solutions manual (Sm Calculus F/ Biol & Medicine (2nd) Rev – Optional ), right?

Maybe I should just buy all these from UCLA and save myself the confusion…xD

Hey I have a extra copy of the Chem 14 series textbooks in case anyone needed it. Its still brand new and shrink wrapped and the only reason why I’m selling it is because I bought it last quarter but I ended up not taking the class and I procrastinated so they wouldn’t let me return it. Its the same one you would get in the bookstore with the textbook, solution manual, modeling kit. We can meet up during zero week on campus so you can check it out and buy it if you’re interested. Just PM me

hey ! im taking chem 14a too but I was wondering, is there a certain edition that is required for the clasS? thanks!

fourth edition. it has liquid drops on the cover.

you could use old editions, but the hw problems wont match up. i mean im sure the old problems are fine too, but if you happen to go to discussion, you wont really knows whats going on.

is the latest edition of the chem book available in the library?

I can just photocopy the problems or get the pages from someone, and save a lot on the book by getting an older edition :P

such as this uber cheap one
[Amazon.com: Chemical Principles: The Quest for Insight (9780716757016): Peter Atkins, Loretta Jones: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Chemical-Principles-Insight-Peter-Atkins/dp/071675701X)

it’s third edition

So I’m guessing that no one knows what the “Std Survey” is in the Chem bundle? I am beginning to think this will be easier to just purchase through UCLA and save the confusion. Are bookstore lines long that first week? Should I just get it now? Thanks for any advice.

Yes. Yes.

Hey, I have the exact same text that is sold at the book store if you’re interested. Its identical to the UCLA one, I bought it last quarter but ended up dropping the class and I got screwed with the return policy so i couldn’t return it. Unopened and unused. Includes everything the model kit, book, and STD survey. BTW the std survey is just a cd-rom that is included.

I bought this whole kit for 195+ after taxes (still have receipt) but I would be willing to sell it for $170, just PM me. Why pay more when you can get the exact same thing?

sorry if i’m missing something, but if we purchase the chem textbook off of amazon or something, where can we get the other stuff like the model kit, etc? can you buy those from ucla individually?

bumppp …same question as kels09
