Why are all the Chem 1A labs filled? If none of the available ones work for me what can I do? I'm sure more people want to take Chem 1A lab...(right now only Th 8-12 and F 1-5 are left...)

Chem 1A opens new lab sections until they accommodate the students that are enrolled in lecture. Just waitlist for the lab you want and you can get in.

wait, so does that mean I can waitlist even the FILLED classes?
or only the ones that say CURRENTLY NOT OPEN?
I have CalSo tomorrow as well and I'd really like to know

bump, I would like to know as well.

You could waitlist any lecture, lab or discussion. Whether or not you get in that particular class depends on the waitlist clearance, department enrollment practices and etc. Some departments tell you to waitlist a class to get in it due to their enrollment practices. For Chem 1A, just waitlist the time you want since it is in their instructions.

I was in the exact same situation last year... all lab sections seemed to be filled. But when I signed up for classes during calso telebears listed lab sections that the online schedule did not list. My counselor said that new sections open up with each calso session.
