I am an entering freshmen bio major. I am going to take bio sci 93, hum core 1a, and bio2a the first quarter. I was wondering, is chem 1b deeply reliant on knowledge gathered from chem 1A or H2a? I got a 4 on the AP exam but I feel that I will be left behind since I didn't take a chem course first quarter. I would be willing to try H2A/H2LA but all the spots that worked with my schedule have been taken. What is the difference in material between 1a and 1b? For example bio sci 93 is dna to organisms and 94 is organisms to something else.

Thanks
