Hi, I'm a third year transfer student to UMich, and I am taking Chem 210/211 this fall. However, I took general chemistry my first year of college and don't remember all of the information. Do you think this is going to be a problem or is there a good deal of review in this class? Should I review any specific topics? Thanks.

bumppppp please

Hey, the only part of Gen Chem that’s really covered in Orgo, is acid and bases, oxidation and reduction. Otherwise, 210 is mainly just drawing pictures and remembering different types of reactions, that’s about it. So, not a lot of Gen Chem material is necessary to remember for 210. I have had friends start with 210 their freshman year, and haven’t had a general chemistry class since their early years of high school, so I think you’ll be fine.

Thank you for your response! Your answer is very reassuring.
