Chem 4A ahhh!!

I totally bombed my second midterm for this class. ahhh!! And I studied my butt off for it :( I'm seriously considering switching out of College of Chem, but I feel like I went through all of this torture for nothing. Anybody else hating Chem 4A?

To be honest, nobody likes or liked Chem 4A.

Chem C96 is a better indicator whether you really like Chem or not. Even if you think you’re doing poorly in Chem 4A, if the seminars/researches are interesting, you should continue with Chemistry no matter what. You probably heard from plenty of upperclassmen by now that Chem 4A is the hardest course in CoC, so just bear through.

Chem 4A is SUPPOSED to be one of the worst classes you’ve taken. That’s how students get weeded out of the chem, chem bio, and chemE majors. Now, in terms of material, Chem 4A will start to be a bit more tame with thermo. And equilibrium will be… well… equilibrium.

Huge curves, by the way, will be your friend.

Chem 4A is not curved, but if I recall correctly, 80% and above is the A range.

I hate my life too. I bombed my first midterm in my class. : [ oh dear.
