Chem 6BL waitlist

The waitlist currently for all Chem 6BL courses for fall 2009 is about 12-20 I think.

I'm position 4 on the waitlist, is there a chance I will get in by fall quarter?

I also keep hearing about getting "old labs" and "previous notes." Is there a specific site I should be looking at, like coursehero or a student website, or are they talking about getting it from an upperclassman?

No, they make you turn in your labs at the end of the quarter… Try to find someone and copy their labs about a day or two before they are required to turn their labs in.

The only way you could get into 6bl from the waitlist is if they open up a new section. This is because people rarely drop once they get their seat. However, the only way you’ll know if they open up a new section is by staying on the waitlst (they’ll send an email to all waitlisted people).
If you want to know if they are going to open up a new section, try contacting the chemistry department.

okay thanks (: is there a better chance of getting in fall or winter quarter? :o and I think I’ll contact them sometime this week…

^ It would depend on whether fall or winter has more total seats. Go to tritonlink -> schedule of classes -> check chem 6bl last fall/winter to answer your question. What really matters for you is your enrollment time relative to others trying to get into 6bl.

Just an experience: I wait-listed for chem6bl my winter quarter AND my spring quarter… Now I’m finally in thanks to a new section opening they had in June.

Haha, but now I’m thinking of petitioning out, as my schedule for fall quarter seems a bit daunting -.-
