Hi! I'd appreciate any advice at all from those in the know. My daughter is a senior in the process of applying to colleges. She's interested in chemical engineering, and would like to use her degree in the cosmetics industry. We are doing research on schools that offer this sort of program, but am asking for help/ideas from the board.

Re: our daughter. She's a very good student (NMSF, 34 ACT, etc.), so we'll consider very selective/competitive schools.

Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

Just googled it and found

[Why Cosmetic Engineering? | Manhattan College](http://www.manhattan.edu/cosmetics/why-cosmetics-engineering)

My son has a friend at this school and he loves it. With your daughter’s scores, maybe she would get good merit money.

LakeMom,

Thanks for the quick reply! That’s one of the schools we’re looking into. Is your son’s friend in the cosmetic engineering program? Or a student in something else at Manhattan?
Also, if you know, what does your son’s friend like about Manhattan?

I don’t know specifically what he likes but he did tell my son he does. My son’s friend is a English/theater major. Was originally going to go to Pace but they told he could not major in both so he chose Manhattan college. If you go to the Manhattan college section here on cc you might get more specific answers.
