I took Chem H. in my soph year. I was going to do the physics and math subject tests but I realize if I want to take Chem subject test I should study for it right now while I have some of the stuff still fresh in my mind (I have already forgotten a lot since it has been a month since school went out). So my question is it worthwhile to take an additional SAT II along with the required 2, if I do well on all the tests? Does it come out as "nice" in the admission office or just "regular"?

I think it would be a bonus for your application, but since you take Math and Physics I think it would be much better to take an additional SAT II in a humanistic subject or a foreign language.

I did not think about it like that. I take French as a 2nd language and it is nowhere near my level in the sciences and math. As for English, I don't think I would be able to take another standardized test in it. The CR and WR sections are already such a nuisance. I am now thinking of taking French though. I'm not rly sure.

Mabey this will help: My dream schools are Caltech and Berkley. I will probably major as an electrical engineer or a computer programmer.

I took Chem, Math IIC, and US History. I've read that colleges prefer a variety in the subject tests you take so I decided on a science, math, and history. I considered taking English but I heard it's got a bunch of literature stuff on it that you may or may not have seen before... Also, you might consider a foreign language if you're trying to opt out or perhaps world history if you've just finished that course. By the way, the grading curves are pretty lenient from what I've found...for example, I was pretty happy to see I got a 740 on the Math IIC but kinda surprised to find out that it was only in the 75th perecentile... On the other hand, my 790 on the US History was in the 97th percentile so it really depends on the test you take... for easy comparison, check out the first reference in this wikipedia article (it's a pdf so I don't know how to link it >.<):

the lit actually isn't that bad,i took it on a whim the day of the test(i had already signed up for USH and they're flexable with what you take) and got a 750. and i'm not one of the CC super geniuses. i'd suggest that or a history one, to round them out. check the sample questions on collegeboard, see how you do.

Maybe I should take 4 SAT II's (chem, physics, math, french), but I think thats overdoing it. I am not very good with history but I'm sure I can memorize the material required to know. I still think French, Physics, and Math would be a good choice.
