twylabloo... what did you get on your sat2: chem and ap chem exams? also, what grades did you get in the chem honors classes? -.- i think what we're afraid of at this point is the risk of getting anything lower than an A =/ i know, it's stupid, but you can see what insecure people we are =l)

I don't understand why we need to take something harder than what our majors require.

Exactly ^^^

didn't take the sat2 chem, didn't take ap chem. my grades were A+, A+, A. i really was not expecting to get those grades, but i think the most important thing i can tell you is to get over the "fear" of getting less than As, and just focus on learning the material as well as you can..'cause that's pretty much what i did.
you don't "need" to take something harder than what your major requires...and if you don't have the desire to, then i certainly wouldn't. but if you think the subject matter is interesting, and you don't mind putting in a little more effort than you would have otherwise, then it's worth it.

well folks, i'm planning on becoming a chem major, so i guess i gotta take chem 6h=/

twlyabloo, what is your first name, last name, phone number, social security number, etc. so that i can execute justice in case i get less than an A :P

What are your career plans DK?

twlyabloo - about how many people are in 6AH? I went online, and it showed that 6AH only has ONE section. What happens to people who don't get that class? :(

one section? you mean only one lecture?
i just checked schedule of classes, and there's five discussion sections with room for 38 per section, for a total of 190 seats. there were definitely no more than 190 people in 6AH when i took it. if it makes you feel any better i actually signed up for 6AH after all freshman appointment times to sign up for classes had passed (first signed up for 6A, then changed my mind). not a lot of people sign up for 6AH so don't worry, you will get a seat!

oh yeah, one lecture. I'm still kind of confused about the differences among lecture, discussion, tutorial, seminar, etc....

thank you!

i'm not even sure with myself. major in chem for pre-med most likely and if not, teaching. or try to get into chemE (if possible) and try for med school and if not, engineering.

and why would you want to be a dentist? working on peoples' teeth all day surely can't be fun

BEING a dentist may not be fun, but all the money that they make sure must be.

doctors are worse...

He wants to ask his patients lots of stupid questions while they are sitting there unable to get away

Lol **** ^
