we got these solutions that we were suppose to use teh flame test to determine what they are
i got a test tube number and the solution; the color was red after the flame test but both potassium, strontium, and calcium burn red...any suggestions?
another person got red too but got a different test tube number...

it's the shade of red you saw that will determine it..
potassium is more of a purple-red
strontium is crimson
and calcium is more of a redish-orange

Do you know any other properties of the element? Maybe ionic charge?

i did this lab in chem like a month ago and the red one for flinn scientific labs is supposed to be strontium.calcium was for orange and potassium was for violet.
