Chemistry - how does 780, 760, 760 on Barrons translate to real test?

I took chemistry on January and got 760 with almost no studying. I feel like i can do much better and 800 is in my reach.

And here is my question: how does 780 (diagnostic) and two 760's (practice tests) translate for real one? I need some support because as the days go by and test date is looming i'm losing my confidence. I need that 800 (how stupid it would look to retake 760 to get 770...).

I'm not satisfied with these results, because of lenient Barrons curve for chemistry (-10 give 800). 760 looks good on paper, but raw score like 67/85 doesn't. I heard that curve is very harsh and i need 80+/85.

Well like i have stated in the Guide to an 800: Chemistry, I got a 740 740 740 and 770 on the barron’s tests then got a 800 on the May test. You should be fine.

isnt the Barron’s curve insane though? -15 raw is a 780… but on the real one, only 3-5 raw off will be an 800.

I know that on Math II, I peaked at a 640 on Barron’s and got a 770 on the real thing. I doubt that this test is as extreme, but i would expect something similar in terms of comparison to the real test.

Thanks y’all.
@sjsharks - Do you remember how many questions have you missed?
@michael2013 - Exactly. It’s strange.

ivydreamerr, score report comes out tomorrow,

In my opinion, Math II is way harder than Chemistry for Barron’s.

Quick question… I’m taking the SAT next Saturday instead of the SAT Chemistry Subject Test, but I took AP Chem this year. Is there going to be another SAT Subject Test day next fall?

6th of October, 3rd of November.

Anywhere from a 780-800.
