<p>I use King’s Indian frequently, mainly because the defense is incredible.</p>
<p>@Grisam: I just stick to the normal game techniques and strategies (ex. don’t move a piece more than once in the beginning, control the center, etc.).</p>
<p>^I use those too, but I love special combos because I can try different things with them.</p>
<p>I used to play chess every night with my older sister when I was like 7. </p>
<p>There was a teacher that would come to our class for an hour and teach us how to play. He even gave us a set to take home at the end of the year. </p>

<p>My specialty is the “Old Man Gambit”.</p>
<p>When you start the game, say, “It’s been a long time since I’ve played chess, but I’ll give it a try.” Then start with a couple bad moves, maybe give away a knight.</p>
<p>It works every time. You have their queen by 30 moves.</p>
<p>Tip: if a real old man ever says those words, you are doomed.</p>

<p>im trying to get my parents to send my brother to chess camp next summer- i want him to aim to be a grand master. he’s good and he’s got raw talent. but mostly, he’s just really interested in it.</p>

We don’t play competitively or anything but it’s pretty fun. I used to play a lot with my dad when I was younger. I miss that.</p>

<p>you know, if you really want to practice alot, you could buy a phantom chess board. its a little bit creepy cause it seems like something from harry potter, but you play against the chess board, and it moves the pieces by itself [probably a magnet underneath or something] but it even knows when you try to cheat ;D and there are plenty of levels</p>
