What do you guys think:
Would there be a majority of students who belong in Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Gryfindor, or Slytherin at the University of Chicago?
Percentages?
Yes?

Slytherins are mainly at Yale (boy will I get flamed for this ...). I wonder about one of our Chicago posters, though.
Hitchcock is Ravenclaw.
Definitely some Hufflepuffs in Broadview (along with a smattering of Gryfindors and Ravenclaws).
Not sure of the other dorms!

But overall, the OP is right--UofC is Ravenclaw.

That's nice, because Luna Lovegood is hawt.

Oh, and no one is a Muggle.

Bowler Hat, don't hit on my gf.

I haven't read Harry Potter....

.... hides

They're worth reading, Unalove. For real Use it as a procrastination technique, and you'll have the series finished by exams. :)

I have no clue which house I'd be in. Maybe I should take one of those online quizzes.

Edit: I am, in order: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff.

Uh, try finished by the end of the week...unless your exams are soon.

Plot-driven narratives don't really work for me and by I mean "don't really work," I mean I find Star Wars hella confusing. I read the first few books in the series when they were new, but I gave up because a) they were too long, b) I didn't understand all the kinks to HarryPotterLand/ epic confrontations with Voldemort, and c) I thought I had cooler things to read.

I totally remember identifying with Hermione, though.

When I find time to read for fun, I end up reading back issues of magazines that my friends subscribe to (The New Yorker, The Economist, feminist/pop culture commentary) and poetry. These are all things I can skim rather quickly, that don't require that I remember what happened earlier, and that I find satisfying given my investment (or lack thereof) of effort.

Maybe I'll make a crack at the Potters this summer.

** by the way, I took an online quiz, and I'm a Hufflepuff.

UofC students do remind me of Ravenclaws. I mean, they're the really smart, hard-working, interesting people who don't get any attention. (I mean seriously... does anyone else think Ravenclaw should have gotten A LOT more love in the HP books??)

Okay, unalove is a Muggle. Jeez, I never would have thought it.

UChicago would definitely be home to Gryffindors, it's crest bears the Phoenix.

^^^ Hey! I know what a muggle is! Wouldn't living in one of the "Harry Potter" dorms discount me from mugglehood?

--lol, bowler hat

and i'm with you, la montagne-- ravenclaws deserve much much much more love. from everyone. amen.

Oh Crap It Is Lunalovegood...you Smartass You

Well, I guess you're outed, unalove!

the real question to ask here is... what schools hufflepuff

i dont think anyone wants that distinction.

maybe

THE Ohio State?

Maybe Drexel...

haha, id still be happy to go to a hufflepuff school... i was sort of hoping chicago would have a hufflepuff aspect to it as well. Didn't chicago have the most peace-corps volunteers? -Thats hufflepuffish, yeah?
