What are my chances if getting into these reach schools, and what colleges would you recommend for a major in Biology or Biomedical Engineering?
Are you a junior?
Retake the ACT, can you go for a 34/35?
Take 2 subject tests and maybe do more activities during senior year(if you’re a junior)
If you do these things you will get into great UCs and other good universitie!
Good luck!
Your UW GPA is low for Chicago, Case Western, Boston College, Michigan and the UCs. Your ECs are also a little lacking. Try to join more clubs at school. What is your state of residence? A couple other options based on the schools you like for biology and biomedical engineering: Penn State, UConn, Illinois. A note: Chicago and the UCs are reaches for everyone who applies, so don’t take it personally if you aren’t accepted. You seem like a very qualified student and should get into tons of great schools. Best of luck!
I live in Ohio, and what other schools would you recommend? Also, would it help that I go to a Jesuit school for BC?
Honestly, I’m not sure if attending a Jesuit school could help, but email your admissions counselor and ask! You should get into Ohio State, no issue. I know quite a few people attending Rensselaer Polytechnic for biomedical engineering who love it, so I’d look into it. I already recommended Penn State, Illinois and UConn, but Lehigh could also be a good match for you. I’d really look into STEM schools, such as Virginia Tech, as they are excellent in engineering fields.
