Chicago Unifieds 2014

So im a senior going to unifieds in chicago. I am super stressed. I know where im staying and how im gettting to the hotel for the auditions BUT im going ALONE. It is possible to go alone right? While im at the hotel will I have somewhere to put my coat? Since im taking headshots, resumes and other documents, will I have somewhere to leave them while i go inside to audition? Please help!

Lots of kids go alone. But, unfortunately you will have to haul your stuff around. That’s what the parents do, basically. But, you’ll be fine. Just brig what you need for the day and set you coat and things down somewhere in the audition room.
No problem.

Other auditioners are usually awesome and will watch your stuff for you while you are in the audition room. I’m also going alone this year!

luigsbro, you will be FINE. Take a deep breath. Just make sure you have all you need–headshot/resume, directions to the place, a bottle of water and some extra cash if you want to grab something to eat, and an extra change of a shirt or outfit just in case.

I myself don’t carry the stuff for my son, so my function is really just to walk with him and be there. He is actually at an audition right now, and I’m in a Starbucks. One suggestion: Bring a stuffed animal or other good luck charm with you; that helps keep the spirits up. You can do it.

I agree deep breath! Of the 4 auditions I’ve been to, on campus, with my S I didn’t see him all day at 2 of them. We sat through the introductory meeting together and off he went so essentially he was alone too! You’ll be fine!!
