I’m planning on auditioning for Ithaca at Chicago unifieds. I have a question though-- Does Ithaca’s audition include a dance call at Unifieds? If so, does anyone know how long I can expect to spend at my audition for Ithaca? Scheduling is already starting to get complicated!

Thanks a lot!

Ithaca has no dance as part of ANY of their auditions, including ON campus.

As soozie says, no dance at all at Ithaca! My D auditioned for Ithaca offsite last year (in the DC-Virginia) area and it was a very well organized, very well run audition. However, they do ask you to set aside four hours, and I think they do this at Unifieds as well. They ask for this much time so that someone from Ithaca (in the case of the DC audition last year, it was Lee Byron, head of the program) can talk to the gathered kids and parents about Ithaca and the BFA in MT and acting programs. Then kids are called into the audition room one by one, in the order in which (I think) they registered for that day's audition. My D was actually about the 8to or 10th person to audition that day (there were about 50 kids) so we were not there the entire four hours.

Ithaca has a very fine program and that was reflected in the professional way its auditions were carried out.

Thanks for the info!!
