has anyone have trouble with them yet?

I've heard stories from some of my friends, but i never really expected it to be true. So far my experience with the finanacial aid office has left much to be desire.

As someone who goes to chicago now, i can tell you that they are...well let me say i would use some words that i cannot post on this board to describe them.

Just haven't gotten anything from them yet.

As time is closing in on me and I have to make decisions, this is VERY ****ING BAD.

If they have bad financial aid... I will have no idea where to go or what to do... and worse, I'll have basically NO time to decide because of how late I'm getting the financial aid.

GRRRRR!

like seriously i just had a arguement with one of the lady. kramer.

erghhhhhh

there's alike a problem with my name, the people who processed my citizenship ceritifcate messed up the order of my name.

I'm 17 right so i was going to wait until i turned 18.

But no... she wouldn't have that....

So i dragged my ass to the immigration department and to talk to a person there, and they told me that in order to get it fix i would have to pay $221 and it would take a year to process.

The thing that really ****es me off to is that she told me, before the conversation i just had, that because your names do not match, you can not recieve federal aid.

I emailed her back and told her that it found that to be odd because currently i have recieveing many state grants and federal grants, i even took out a stafford or perkins loan, in aiddtion to the other insitutional aid.

She then told me that Tulane was not in compliance with the regulations and that she will report my school. I was like ***?

When i was in hs, i was accepted to many schools which offered me federal and insituitional aid, NYU and BU. Apparently they aren't in compliance either.

And apparently my brother 's public school isn't in compliance either.

I mean what a *****. Like for those schools i applied to when i was in hs i just had to send them a copy of my certificate and my ss card.

I mean cornell right now is sorting it out for me and they told me that everything would work out find.

I'm just so freaking ****ed.

Yeah. I'm just an applicant and I've had a lot of problems with their organization.

Through email and postal mail, they've basically told me they never received any of my forms. ANY of them. One of these missing forms was Form 4 -- the one you can (and I did) submit online. When I called and asked about this, they said "We don't have access to that anymore, would you please print it out and fax it to us?" ... What do you /mean/ you don't have 'access' to that anymore? Jeeze.

So I faxed that. And I refaxed the tax forms. And then I Fed-Ex'd the tax forms because apparently fax isn't go enough for them. Same for the 1099/W2's.

They're incredibly disorganized, and if I am accepted, from what I've heard I can expect very little from all of this trouble. Sigh.
