Im trying to decide between CPP & CSUC. Chico has a major called Mechatronic Engineering that I truly love and CPP doesnt have it. So thats one of the reasons i wanna go there. The only downside of chico is thay its far out in a rural area away from the big city. If i go to CPP i would do Electrical Engineering.
Can someone help me decide?
Chico might not be near a big city but it’s in a beautiful area and it has a vibrant college social scene. If you really love the mechatronic major and you’re a direct admit - I think you should go there.
My two favorite campuses in the the country are Yale and Chico State. I’d go to Chico State in a heartbeat, especially if it has the major you want to pursue. The mix of college students and cowboys in Chico makes it a very unique town.
Visit both and your mind will be made up for you… I am a big Chico fan but, it isn’t for everyone. The campus is really pretty and the area around campus has a much more urban feel than you’d guess (though the population sign says more than 100k residents - so maybe is shouldn’t be a surprise). Chico has a really vibrant ‘college town’ feel - which you won’t find anywhere near Pomona. CPP is a great school (especially for engineering disciplines) but, if you are looking for the classic 4 year experience, I am confident you’ll choose Chico.
