Chinese June 4th movement in Tiananmen Square the event I want to witness..?

Is it OK to tell Stanford and Yale in their profile questions that the June 4th movement in Tiananmen square is the historical event I want to witness the most? You know, the students protest against SOMEBODY, and SOMEBODY sent SOMEBODY ELSE, and boom...SOMEBODY said a small numbers of CRIMINALS were killed, the west said a large number of innocent people were killed, but my dad, who were in the center of the square that night said NO ONE was killed......I want to witness it! 1 to feel the spirts of the students 2 to understand the event that shaped the current China.
I didnt show a tendency to overthrow SOMEBODY.But nevertheless many people tell me keep away from sensitive politics as far as I could>< Do I have to do so?What would a western feel if he or she sees this? Is this considered a sensitive political event as well?

The topic is fine for American schools. The only problem could be for you if you live in a country which censors mail/email and your country doesn’t like the topic.

My survival is the best evidence that the mails are completely safe…So no worries~XD Thank you~
BTW, what is the offical English name of the event?

I think it’s called the Tiannanmen Square Massacre. If you want to include the date, I think, it is June 4th Tiannanmen Square Massacre.

Are you living in HK? Or in mainland? I don’t believe Chinese government is powerful enough even to detect “June 4th” in your email!!! Though the topic is prohibited in many forums, it is safe if you want to write about it in English. But I wonder if you truly understand the event. You can never figure out the truth and the situation of the time!
