<p>So. I'm wondering, should I take it? Granted, I speak Chinese at home and I have taken a practice exam and not found it very difficult. It is a "primary" language of mine because I learned it at the same time as English and I have gone to Chinese school for 10 years. </p>
<p>I am Taiwanese but would it be bad for me to take it because colleges will look down on it? What are you guys' thoughts about it?</p>
<p>you're right about colleges, they WILL look down on it since you're chinese. if you were indian or mexican, however, and took the Chinese SAT II through self-learning, it would be impressive. why not take the chinese AP instead? at least that will be more challenging, that's what i did (5)</p>
<p>also, the curve for that is insane, since 90% of the people taking it are chinese also, and they will all be getting 800's, so it won't look amazing if you 800 it, it'll just look terrible if you 790 it</p>
