CHM 1025 or CHM 1045?

Hi, I'm a biology major that plans to transfer to UF.

I was wondering which is better for me to take at my community college. I have to take CHM1045 (2045 at UF) for my major, but I haven't taken a chemistry course since tenth grade of high school.

I can take CHM 1025 before 1045, but I'd be behind a semester and I would like to avoid that. The requirements to CHM1045 are CHM 1025 or high school chemistry with a grade of "C" or better.

If I really don't remember anything from chemistry, would it be wise to go straight into 1045 or should I take 1025 as a refresher?

Thanks!

It depends if you were comfortable with it the first time you took it. If so, things will probably come back to you when you look at it again.

If you struggled in high school with it, I’d probably take the lower level one first.
