Choate/Andover

Hello! I am an eighth grade female student, applying for 9th grade at Choate, and mostly likely Andover too. I am from the west coast, and Latina. My practice SSAT scores are in the 90s, and I have never gotten a B. My brother is going to attend Choate in the fall, but I am going to be applying for financial aid. Would this affect my chances, even though I am a sibling?

Extracurriculars-

*a lot so I’m just going to list general categories

Competitive Sailor
Rowing
Competitive Piano
Honor Band for clarinet
Can play 3 types of saxophones
Charity League President
Principals Advisory Council
IMPACT leadership
EHS leadership
robotics
Stem award
Starting a local reading program and book drive for my school (it’s K-8)

there’s more— mostly just different awards for sports and things like that haha

I would probably do sailing in the spring, just because that is what I really have a passion for- I know andover doesn’t have a sailing team, but i could always start one, right?

Thank you so much! I haven’t done any interviews yet, but I will interview at Choate during Parent’s Weekend. Hopefully they go well. Please let me know what I can work on, thanks!

Oh ya! I also have some safety schools like Kent, because Andover is sooooo hard to get into! (so is Choate)
