what grades did those of you that were accepted apply for?

i applied for 9th

I was accepted, but we can't pay for it. It's dreadful.

congrats soccerlife! grade 9?

im gonna be in ninth too! nice to virtually meet you soccerlife!

lily101: im really sorry... can you maybe use a program like prepGATE?

I made it into the 9th grade class =)

i guess ill see some of you next year.

how likely do you think it will be for me to get accepted as a junior if i decide to wait 2 years?

why risk it?

youre in now why not accept if you really want to go to choate.

It isn't worth the risk. Unless you have a serious reason for not attending... go for it!

Look up Choate Rosemary Hall Class of 12 on Facebook. (and join)

I was rejected, but the thing concerning me is my decision letter as it was wtitten like this:
*You should know that the decision was not based on your credentials--which were quite impressive--but rather on our inability to offer you the financial aid you need to attend our school. Unfortunately, our budget is not large enough to accommodate all the worthy applicants. We certainly regret having to make these painful decisions, because, quite simply, if we had more financial aid we would have offered you a place at our school.
*
I was vey disappointed but I have just found a sponsor who can offer me more money to attend CHR. So do you guys think I should call the admission officers and ask them if they can reconsdier my case? Being accepted to CHoate means a world to me.
By the way, i'm an international student, so is it harder for me to ask them to reconsider my case?

hey, anyone who got accepted by choate and is planning to go, join the facebook group "choate rosemary hall class of '12". It is for anyone who has been accepted and plans to go. you can meet your future classmates.

you should definently call the admissions office and ask them. they actually like accepting international students more than students from say the U.S.

hockeyboy, where are you getting those facts from?

Accepted for 9th grade class.

mcskittlz do you think you will attend?

My family and i will have a HUGE (Thunderbolts and Lightning) discussion in the upcoming week. I pray to God the my mom says yay for BS. If yay, i'm deciding between Choate and Andover. What about you xoxcookie?

Definitely Choate! It is the perfect size for me and is the school that has captured my attention the most out of my three options.
