Thank you, al612! Yes, I applied for FA. My family just can contribute at most 30% of the whole tuition to the schools.
You might think that I'm pessimistic, but so far I've been discouraged by the fact that not many students in my country succeed in self-applying to US boarding schools (Not because Vietnamese students are bad >.< [No, obviously not!], but because we are new to this kind of admission). Btw, congratulations and thank you to you!

Have you made up your mind which school to choose? :) Sorry that I can't give you any advice on this. Wish you happy with your choice! ;)

just so you know... hotchkiss is awesome. and i think the PG students really have it good here- senior privileges are a big deal and i've never seen a PG have any trouble integrating- most of them become pretty well-liked

Princess'Dad: Actually, since I finished German at my old school, I'm exempt from taking a language next year

hotchkiss09: I'm in your grade! I'm not a PG haha...but unfortunately due to FA and other concerns I decided not to go to Hotchkiss...(but it was my top choice in the beginning)

I was also accepted at Deerfield, Hotchkiss and Choate as an incoming freshman…having a difficult time making a decision…any advice out there to sway me?
Hotchkiss is in the middle of NOWHERE. So, if you are super into quiet and nature, go for it. Do not know much about Deerfield and its area, but Choate is in a walkable town area. Go to revisits and see how you feel. Congrats on getting into great schools!
