Choice of Hotel management or Art & Science

I'm going to pursue business in future, is hotel management or art & science better?

I heard that art & science also covers courses like economics & management....will study hotel management too early to confine to special field?

Is competition for RD for hotel management very keen?
How about the culture and morale among the classmate in hotel management? I heard something like everyone step on one another for good grade and hard to make real friend...could the current junior & senior class in hotel management share your stories...

Almost everyone is friendly with everyone else at Cornell. Don't worry about that, you shouldn't have problems with friendliness.

If you want to pursue hospitality related business, apply to hotel.
If you want to pursue business but want the traditional, well rounded education of an intellectual, major in Econ (or actually, whatever you want) in CAS
If you want to study only business, and much of the broad distribution found in CAS, apply to AEM in CALS.

All competition for Hotel is keen. The admissions rate is around 23% and the yield is a rediculously high 80-something %. Like I said, culture and morale is great with almost all students at cornell. I have never heard about anyone in hotel being malicious. They're very friendly (and the girls are more attractive :D)
