My son's first choice of schools is NYU, but he is considering others because of the cost.
Here are the basics:
We live in NJ.
He is not sure what he wants to study but is leaning towards eventually working in the field of forensic psychology.
Accepted and narrowed the field to:
NYU- LSP---his first choice---no news on any financial aid yet, but not too hopeful
Fordham--- decent merit money
Univ. of Delaware---VERY nice merit scholarship
The College of NJ (not really known outside of NJ, but is known as being quite selective)--no word on merit money yet

They are all excellent schools so congratulations. If cost is a factor, I would sit down when all the merit aid awards come in figure out which schools are financially do-able (taking into account that it sounds like grad school will be part of the plan). After that, I am a huge believer in going back for accepted student days at his top choices. We went back to three schools with my S and it made his final choice much easier. When you have four strong schools, there is no right or wrong choice - it is just a question of finding the best fit. Good luck.
