Applying to College Common and Coalition Application

My daughter has been involved in her school choir for 4 years, but it is a class on her transcript. Does it just stay there or should it also go in her EC list.

I’d call it out on the EC list to show her interest in vocal music. It won’t really be counted as part of her GPA, so it should be highlighted as an interest. If she finds she doesn’t have room for all of her ECs when she fills out the common app, she can prioritize them and leave the ones she is less interested in off the list.

Many times what people highlight for Choir as an EC is participation/awards in all-region or all-state contests, or extra singing groups they belong to (for example, at my HS back in the day, barbershop quartet was something extra a few boys did).
