Choose your own topic supplement - how to format?

Hi everyone! Harvard’s optional supplement says “You may write on a topic of your choice”

I came up with a question/prompt. Am I allowed to include the question I came up with before my essay? Or would it be better if I just sent in my essay, but incorporated the prompt into my introductory paragraph?

Have you thought about simply embedding this information within the title? If you intend to write an essay on say how underwater basket weaving has changed your life, your title might be “How Underwater Basket Weaving Has Changed My Life”, then jump right into the essay.
