Choosing a college

I'm a high school senior and I'm having a hard decision between University of California Davis and Iniversity of California San Diego.

If I go to UCD:
-I will be closer to home/feel safer money wise
-currently enrolled into Chemical Engeering but might switch to Biotechnology and Molecular Biology

If I got to UCSD:
-currently enrolled in Bioengineering: Pre-medical

Not really sure what they mean by those pre reqs. but does that mean I have to take those 8 classes by the end of freshman year and pass them with 3.0 and above to get into that major?)

I'm getting conflicting messages on the kinds of jobs I could possibly get with those majors. I want to see how those majors stack up when compared to other schools. Thanks for your time.

Anyone willing to share their opinion?

If you want bioengineering, UCSD is at the very top and Davis isn't on the chart. Biotech is the future and jobs will be unlimited. You probably have to do well in the prerecs to get the major, people would give an arm for that major at UCSD.

IMHO UCSD is a better choice. Have you been to davis or sd yet?

btw ucsd is a great campus too.
